Our founding partner was interviewed by Louis Doucet and answered a few questions about her life, career journey and her vision of the legal profession, which lead her to found her own law firm, FIRSH, specialized in IP/IT and data law.
The title of the interview is straightforward : “Connected to the real World”.
This article outlines sincerely and genuinely the vision of law and the profession from Claire Poirson’s eyes.
“I wanted my freedom and to practice according to my values, as closely as possible to our oath and to society’s expectations, a law firm that is socially responsible and open to the technological and environmental challenges faced by our clients”.
👉 That is why in particular FIRSH is an “Entreprise à Mission”, which advises start ups and Groups on emerging technologies centered on human being, created its own FIRSH LAB working on the law of tomorrow and the good practices for tech uses and was appointed as digital expert for the French Government to invest in the most exceptional projects in tech and AI.
Values that also transpire through her commitment, as vice president of the French Women Lawyers Association (Association Française des Femmes Juristes) and vice-president of 2GAP, for gender equality and shared governance, for women’s presence in media & in the executive committees of French companies, and to help Afghan women refugees integrate in France.
“I am certain that both commitments nourish me. Commitment to a cause, whatever it may be, lifts us up, so I am a better lawyer for my clients when I am involved in these collective actions”.
