Claire Poirson’s attendance to the annual ITechLaw conference

Back from Copenhagen
The ITechLaw Association European Conference once again brought together tech lawyers from around the world to confront some of the questions reshaping our practice.
Through our partner Claire Poirson, Co-Chair of the ITechLawโs Legal Tech Committee of the Association, FIRSH contributed actively to several sessions:
- Claire co-facilitated two roundtables with Sairam Sanathkumar on liability caps in technology contracts, opening up broader discussions on warranties, direct and indirect damages, carve-outs, data loss and the impact of AI on risk allocation.
- Together with Michaล Jackowski, she co-moderated โ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐บ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฝ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐. ๐ก๐ผ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐?โ, with Katarzyna Szczudlik, Begรผm Okumuล, Raรบl Rubio and Alexander Schmid. A very practical conversation about what happens after AI adoption: tools and costs, training and hiring, billing, client expectations, metrics and lessons learned from real-life implementation.
Other highlights included AI & copyright, cybersecurity, the DataAct, AI bias and the limits of human oversight.
These are not theoretical questions. They are already changing how we advise clients and how law firms themselves operate, and they are exactly the kind of issues we continue to explore also through FIRSH LAB.
A huge thank you to the ITechLaw Executive Committee, Nikhil Narendran, Reinoud Westerdijk Truiken Heydn, the Planning Committee and the entire ITechLaw team for the fantastic organisation, and to all the speakers and participants for such open and thought-provoking discussions.
See you at the next ITechLaw Conference!
